Backyard Mandala #11
In all seasons there is beauty to be found in our backyards. This is the eleventh in a series of mandala paintings, created from the things I find and collect as I ramble around the edges of my backyard and the forests that surround us. Each walk feels like a treasure hunt as I find more things that would work well in one of these paintings! The acorn in the center is surrounded by small turkey tail fungus, ferns, pine, grapevine tendrils, dried grasses and red berries for a touch of color. What's in your backyard? Image 6x6 double matted and framed to 10x10. Available at Gay Street Gallery in Washington, VA beginning March 21.
