Acorn
I love to do these paintings that take a close up look at the little things all around us that most people don't notice. My hope is that my paintings like this will help others be more open to the lovely little intimate landscapes they pass by, do they encourage you to see? This lovely little acorn composition was discovered while I was hiking in Shenandoah National Park, portrayed here just as I found it! I thought the patterns and rich variations of colors in the lichen were lovely, as well as the way the acorn was nestled into fallen pine needles and other little leaves. Matted and framed to 10x10. (Also available unframed if you would like to choose your own frame, please indicate the option you choose.)
